Professional Data: Practiced ad Advocate for 17 years, Advocate on record of the Supreme Court of India. On 30.05.1989 he joined as Judicial Member in Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. He was promoted to the post of Vice-President of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal and posted at New Delhi (2000-01), transferred to Mumbai (2001-2005) and Chennai (11.01.2005 to 13.07.09). On 13.07.2009 (AN) he relinquished the charge of Vice-President of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal to join the post of Administrative Member in CAT at Guwahat Bench on 13.07.2009. Chaired a Conference on Human Rights at Peace Palace (International Court of Justice), at the Hague, Netherlands in 1985. Participated in various national and international conferences in the field of law.
