Qualifications : M.A. (Public Admn.) from University of Madras, M.A. (Economics) from University of Madras, M.B.A. from University of Hull, U.K in 1997-98.

Experience : Worked as Under Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum & Chemicals, (Dept., of Petroleum), Govt. of India from December, 1977 till March, 1980.

Held several important positions in the Govt., of Tamil Nadu such as Collector of the undivided Ramanathapuram District, Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Secretary to Government in the Departments of Transport, Commercial Taxes & Religious Endowments, Food & Co-operation, Planning & Development and Finance.

Served as Principal Commissioner, Revenue Administration in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Govt., and as Vice-Chairman of Chennai Metro Development Authority also in the rank of Chief Secretary to the Govt.

Took Voluntary retirement from service on 15.11.2007. Joined as Administrative Member, C.A.T., Hyderabad Bench on 28.11.2007.
