Joined Central Secretariat Service in 1976 on the basis of All India Exam conducted by UPSC(with rank 31). while being in the promoted post of Section Officer, joined Principal Bench of CAT in 1987. Later worked in that capacity for four years in the Ernakulam Bench of the Tribunal. Promoted and posted as Dy. Registrar in the Bombay Bench where he subsequently got further promotion as Joint Registrar. Subsequently, in 2002, when promoted as Registrar, joined once again at Ernakulam Bench where he worked for almost 7 years. Went on deputation as Registrar in River Waters Tribunal, New Delhi, Scale of which caried G.P. of Rs. 10,000/- where he worked till 31.10.2010.
Is a Graduate in Physics, Post Graduate in History, as well as Public Administration and passed LL.B. from Mumbai University securing Gold Medal in Legal Theory in 1996 (Kinloch Forbes Gold Medal). Later passed Masters in Law from the same University.
Is an avid Chess Player and Quiz aficionado and has won many prizes and trophies in both while working in the Tribunal.
